My Starter Juice - An Easy Start - Dreamcicle Carrot Marries Apple

I call this my dreamcicle juice, and it was my first ever juice that created the juice manic that I am today. For all of you that look at the color and fear the taste because there's GASP, vegetables in it, stop letting your brain get in the way of a healthier you.

This juice tastes mostly like orange, it's oddly the carrot that adds a taste that reminds me of an orange dreamcicle ice cream bar. You can detect a slight hint of apple, but keep in mind when you juice, the tastes of fruits and vegetables are much more pure and flavorful than eating them solid.

Carrots don't taste like the crunchy rabbit like food you're used to. A freshly juiced carrot is much sweeter and lighter. And OH apples, they will blow your mind, they become so fragrant and delicious! Spinach (if you choose to add it) might smell when juicing (like a leafy green), but doesn't have taste in juices. It is amazingly stealthy once other juices are added.

So here's the recipe!

(I make a LARGE mason jar of juice because I have them as meals, to make less just start with the ingredients in order and watch the amount of liquid you receive as the items juice)

3-5 carrots depending on size and juice yeilded
(you want the most of your juice from carrots here, at least half)

1 red apple
1 green apple

1 orange fresh squeezed (not juiced)
OR
1/4 cup real orange juice
(never concentrate always organic never any additives)

1 fresh squeezed lime (not juiced)
(no options to this, never use the fake concentrate, real limes only)

Optional:
1 tsp chia seeds
1 inch ginger
1- 2 large handful spinach
(I prefer to blend the spinach and add the juice mix to it, but juicing in the juicer is great too)

Some new juicers find the drinks best when VERY cold, go ahead add some ice, stir, and take out the cubes once cold. I know you're freaking about what you've read on oxidizing and heat to your juices, feel free to read my more in depth post on juicing for these worries.

So....what do you think of the juice?!
