Spring has sprung, and with the freshness of the season I'm itching to throw everything I own out on the curb. I'm not sure why but I feel the need to find some new favorites to add to my life. Out with the old in with the
new!
new!
Here we go, some new spring favorites!
I'm kind of sick of yoga pants. I know right?! Who ever thought anyone would say that! Well, I did, I'm just tired of feeling like that's the only comfort clothing I have to go out in, I wanted something new, different, and fresh in my closet. So I got these;
Terry Back Pocket Pants by VS. - $39.50, but use those VS coupon cards girls!
They fit amazingly well, feel great, and the back pockets are actually adorable on the bum. If you're not too keen on the terry fabric try these, Classic Fleece Pants also by VS. If you remember the old Terry pants that were more like velour, forget those, these are different, and much more put together to go run errands or travel in.
Turns out my hair also needed something new. I love my staple products but I felt the need to explore the unknown, and found these!

Say Yes to Carrots Shampoo and Say Yes to Carrots Conditioner. Each around $8.99, but you can typically find coupons and deals on these products, usually at Target.
Let me tell you...I LOVE this combo, my hair felt like I should be in a Disney Princess movie, it smelled amazing, and behaved so well! Just the fresh-over I was looking for, and now worthy to be in my product line up.
Now, I feel slightly guilty for wanting to replace my beloved Nivea lip balm, but I am OBSESSED with this one....ooooobbbsessseeeed!
Girls, do you remember the Malibu/Hawaiian Barbie? She came with this little lip gloss, and thus began our unhealthy relationship with lip products, right?! Well, this stuff reminds me of that gloss...so.close!
About a dollar, found anywhere ;)
One of my top personal irritants is grocery shopping. I hate the crowd, the rude people not moving and walking on cell phones, not to mention the over priced items and trying to "coupon." So I wanted to find a new place to branch off from my typically stressful store. What did I find (you probably already read) my renewed love in Whole Foods, below to read why I have a love-love relationship with this place.
Possibly the worst of feelings, the stagnant life feeling. I have been through so many procedures, tests, and just being at home limited to bed or the couch that I was getting stir crazy. A loving conversation and this caption lead my husband and I to a new approach to life.

Get out, go, do, be random! We booked a last minute mini trip a day ahead and loved it. Yes, the weather slightly had us change plans mid trip, but for 3 days we went somewhere. We stuck our toes in sand, ate great food, and traveled to new places. It was actually cheaper than we thought it would be being last minute and all. But what we learned with this is that life does escape us and we are sick of it. We can't die with our money and we can't get time back, so we are going to make the most of it and use it, and enjoy it.
Whipped cream. I feel like that's all I should need to say, but I'll delight you.
I'm not friends with dairy, and I really really love whipped cream. I mean it goes with everything; hot chocolate, iced coffee, strawberries, pie, cake, jello, pudding, angel food cake, etc.
And well, I missed it, and so I found coconut milk whipped cream! It's delicious, and very easy to make. You won't miss the real stuff, and the coconut taste differs on brands, but regardless is faint. It's just a sweet creamy dollop of delight.

Buy full fat coconut milk i.e.
or this
.
Refrigerate one day, carefully scoop solid cream from top, use remaining juice in smoothies, cooking, etc. In mixing bowl whip gradually adding vanilla extract, maybe some cinnamon, and powder sugar to taste. Tip, really try to work in some air for extra fluff, it's pretty dense and not as light as typical cream.
Mine stayed great in the fridge for a few days! Enjoy.
And oh my gosh, blend this into smoothies and iced coffees, delectable!
Lastly, and it's a weird personal thing, but I'm going clean and eclectic on my dishes. I am sick and tired of my dishes. As thankful as I am for them, as they were mostly collected as we've grown. I just really feel the need to organize this area of life. I am going with white plates, and bowls, and allowing my coffee cups and glasses to be enjoyable, I just love coffee cups!
Though my glasses will always be clear glass.....for now.
