Motivation Monday; Post Holiday Recovery Lemon Pepper Spritzer!


Can you feel it? The post chocoliptic sugar crash, you're so swollen from sugar and salt your rings won't fit, and you barely have the energy to refuel with coffee just to get going.

I'd say you had yourself a hopp'n' holiday alright, but don't get too hard on yourself! It's just fine to let your hair down and be unruly and let go. I personally don't believe in a life without indulgence,
and if for you that's a giant chocolate bunny and half a ham,
 bon appetit!

Let's get you feeling motivated and eating  clean again!

Here's my favorite restart drink after a very nasty hiatus of clean eating. It cuts cravings and helps to detox, and if you're not too keen on the taste try it warm, or super cold the temperature difference can help it appeal to different taste buds.




My alterations:

1 very large glass of water - none of this 8oz business

(I also like using a favorite fruity tea like goji berry OR a mineral water...yum!)

1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 large juicy lemon (squeeze the whole lemon dry!)
Handful of ice 
Add a little syrup around rim of glass, enjoy!

Just one large glass is good enough, the pepper and cayenne can be harsh on your digestive system. Just a boost is all we're after! 

The rest of the day enjoy fresh fruit, target watermelon, blueberries, and strawberries. Then get a fill of lean meat like chicken or fish, keep the salt down on seasonings. As always you could also choose a fresh juice, aim for a spinach kale berry, those never fail ;) 

Start enjoying that clean healthy lifestyle again, the next major holiday is just around the corner, and we all know it's a swimsuit one with plenty of beer!
